The classic reinvented.
Picofino Original Vermouth was born from a clear and unusual idea: to create a new category of vermouth, smoother, more rounded, and more balanced, without sacrificing flavor or character. A vermouth designed to be enjoyed effortlessly, yet with enough nuance to satisfy even the most discerning palates.
What is Picofino Original Vermouth?
It's a different kind of vermouth from its very origin. More balanced, less heady, with a lower alcoholic sensation, less sweetness and less bitterness, but with an intense, clean and recognizable aromatic profile.
The key lies in its preparation: instead of fortifying the wine with pure alcohol —usually agricultural and of very low quality—, Picofino Original Vermouth is fortified with our own Picofino gin, five times distilled, smooth and citrusy.
This is how the Picofino Original Gin Fusion Vermouth was born.
Another way to understand vermouth. Another result in the glass.
Why is it born?
As vermouth consumers, we were looking for something very specific:
a vermouth that is balanced in every way.
We were tired of finding vermouths that were overly sweet, too bitter, or had an alcohol content that overpowered everything else. We wanted a vermouth that was easy to drink, but not bland; approachable, but with character; classic, but updated.
Picofino Original Vermouth was created to appeal to both vermouth aficionados and those who don't usually drink it. For connoisseurs and for those approaching it for the first time. A vermouth without barriers, but with discerning taste.

How to do it
The production process is traditional and artisanal, but with a decisive twist.
We start with a wine base that is slowly macerated with botanicals, roots, and plants, seeking balance, depth, and aromatic complexity. The differentiating factor comes at the fortification stage: instead of agricultural or wine alcohol, we use Picofino Original gin.
This gin, distilled five times, contributes smoothness, citrus notes, and a much finer integration with the wine and botanicals. The result is a more rounded vermouth, with fewer harsh edges and a much cleaner and more elegant finish.
There are no shortcuts. Everything is designed so that the whole works as a unit.
Format and packaging
The Original Picofino Vermouth was born in its iconic 75cl yellow bottle, with a methacrylate screw cap and vinyl label, designed to withstand contact with water and ice without deteriorating.
A jewel-like, recognizable and functional container, also designed to be reused, promoting the circular economy.
The range is completed with:
• 20 cl format, ideal for events, gifts, gourmet baskets or amenities in hotels and unique spaces.
• Double magnum 3-liter catering format, in triple-layer bag-in-box with controlled atmosphere, placed in a cylindrical cardboard and metal container with built-in tap, which guarantees perfect preservation and convenient service.
How is it taken
The ideal way to enjoy it is very cold, with ice.
• With a lemon twist to highlight its freshness
• Or with an orange and a pitted green olive, not stuffed
• Simple, without artifice, letting the vermouth do the talking
Pairing and time of consumption
It is a classic appetizer, designed to be enjoyed before lunch or dinner, in an afternoon with a good atmosphere or accompanying tapas and dishes to share.
It shines especially bright when paired with the Picofino snack range:
• Doña Gilda Picofino
• Picofino mussels with vermouth escabeche
• Doña Morcilla Picofino
• The Picofino DIP
Everything fits together. Everything adds up.
